Each year in January the Western New York Chapter of JDRF hold its Journey to a Cure Black Tie Gala. Over 600 people attended this past January’s “Fairy Tale Endings” event at the Seneca Niagara Casino and Hotel. The event includes cocktails and a sit down dinner as well as a silent auction, raffle and live auction with Cash Cunningham. Some of the items auctioned off this year were a Chex Bubble Hockey Game signed by the Buffalo Sabres, Street Hockey with Derek Roy and Friends, Buffalo Fire Boat Cruise, Tops Shopping Spree and much more! The 2011 Journey to a Cure Gala raised $400,000.
